Where Should I Go To Replace A Broken Car Window?

My passenger side window was shattered in a break-in. Is it generally cheaper to go to a dealership to have it replaced, or an auto-glass store? How much should I shop around?
It’s a 2001 Honda Civic.

  1. Old Guy Says:

Check your local yellow pages under “Auto Glass”; if you take it to a dealership, they’ll send it to the same place and charge you extra to do it. Cut out the middleman (and his profit) and do it yourself. And, yes, shop around…you can get estimates over the phone.

Call your ins company and ask who they use.
    Dealer normally costs more.
