How Would You Recommend Paying For Glass Repair Service That Is Not Done In A Timely Manner, Read On?

Had a window on my van needing replacement, just cracked, another window stopped working with the track and motor, and is now inside the door panel just needing a new motor/regulator, and another window that just shattered on its own, no one was even touching the van and just shattered. So I called around to get the best prices, and got price matched with the company I am getting work from, meanwhile, they tell me that I was scheduled for 6:15pm, told 8:00am for the next day, no one showed, waited for a good hour before calling them. They said oh we had you on for 6:15pm yesterday, no one came then either, I was here. I told them I was told 8. Ok hold on let me check the status of your service, tick tok, comes back and tells me, okay we will have someone there first thing in the am. 8 o’clock they said. Again no one showed, called in and they say I was on schedule for 1:00pm. Okay, so on through the day, no one got her until 1:53 to be exact, sorry, I’m late but you can come out now, I’m by your vehicle. Okay, so I came down, they did not have the right glass for my side cargo door, fact they did not even have the not private glass to put on, they replaced the cracked windshield, and left the two other holes. I stay in an apartment where people are shady, one year there were over 20 cars broken into, so I have cameras on my car. It is now raining, so I pulled in one of the garages that are opened, and had okayed it with the landlord, explaining my situation. Now they said they will be here today between 8-12, guy showed up at 8:00. first timely guy in the company, couldn’t wait a half hour for me to come out, I was asleep, my phone was dead, and had woken up later then expected, I was up the night before all night due to not wanting my stuff to get stolen, work stuff/system.and more, sure enough had to call the police on two people who were obviously not where they belonged. One dude even left and came back. Saw him on the north end of the garages I was parked in, but that garage was not able to be closed, like the night after was able to lock it up. Anyways, it is now going on noon and still no call back from the guy who say he would be calling back right away, that was almost two hours ago, and now just got a call, saying they will be here between 1 and 3, so everything just keeps getting punched back, I’m waiting longer then they are willing to wait for my job to be serviced and just don’t feel that this is all in error. I don’t feel what I am being quoted is right, what would you do? How would you fight this? And is there a way to fight this? Is there any legal action I can take to say no I don’t agree on the price after the work is done, to bill me, or anything. Honestly, what can be done in this situation to get that price dropped from what it is to a lower payment. Either way, I am broke and taking time away from work to get this taken care of, my job requires me to drive around and canvas homes, and go door to door, for another service, beyond that, I don’t know what I can do, normally I would just pay for it and be mad that I did. I don’t want to do that this time, so what action can be taken legally, to get what I feel in the price that should be considerably reduced. I’m mad. I wish I would have gone with the other guy who quoted the price that I was supposedly matching with. He honestly deserved the job more then this place. Any advice would be good. Besides slide remarks of just pay it and quit being rediculous or whatever you may think. This is just shoty service.

My friend’s 2002 4 door Toyota Camery’s front windsheild glass was discovered to have shattered this morning after she drove to work. We do not know what caused it but she will need to get it replaces since the damage area is quit large. Her insurence company will not cover for the cost since she is from Taiwan, and only qualifies for single coverage. I am trying to help her to find a good service provider that saves money and is reliable. We live in Raleigh, NC, our zipcode is 27606.

Remove Scratch From Windshield (tried Janvil)?

I need help. I have scratched my windshield with green sponge. I have bought janvil product and tried to buff out myself and made it worse. LOL. Now I have green sponge scratch and scratch from buffing. I can not feel scratch with my finger nail. I tried about 4 stores and they say they don’t know. Where should I try? I have contacted lots of Auto Glass Repair shop and they said They can fix chips but not scratch. My final decision will be replacing cheapest out there was $320 for BMW. I live in georgia if anyone know any store local I will be very happy. Thank you,

Hi, I am trying to replace my windshield which has a large crack spider form. I did little research and found out that there are heated and non-heated windshields. I called a Toyota dealer close to me to see how much it would cost to replace it for a Highlander they said $954 without labor close to $1200 OMG!!!! Shocked. Anyways my question is are there any heated after market ones out there. Also the car doesn’t have an antenna i think it is build in so is there any changes to my reception to radio if I put a after market on it. I guess the guy from the dealership is trying to convince me to purchase the original one. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I have an 07 Toyota Corolla and I recently got a huge crack on my windshield, but it hasnt spider webbed out yet. I was wondering if it’s cheaper/better to file it with my insurance or just go to an auto glass place and pay for it out of my pocket. I called and they said I would have to pay the deductable of 500 and they would pay the rest. But from what I see on here, windshields only cost a couple of hundred dollars.

ok i’m trying to take the cheapest way out i can purchase a windshield for a $100 bucks but people are wanting to charge me $75 or more to put it in my 1994 ford crown vic are they hard to install i have to remove my old windshield and that want be a problem because its already broken and i have the auto glass sealant that goes around the windshield are they hard to install i’m thinking about doing it myself what should i do

Crack On Front Window Glass In Car ?

My mom bought a Kia Sorento SUV type from auto dealer back in 2004, it’s still under the warranty I believe . Couple week ago, she said to me that there is a small crack on the front window glass . The crack is like when you have a hot glass and put it in cold water right away and they produce a nice cut on the glass .
That was couple week ago, a small about 1 inch crack, now it is like a 20 inch something o_O . This car never have any accident whatsoever and only around 17k-ish miles yet this stuff happen . I don’t want to paid this out of our pocket since this isn’t even our fault, it’s should be the manufacturer fault for making cheap glass . I got a Mazda 6 sedan and I drive more than her car yet still everything is good, even if my car got hit by a rock, the glass still solid unlike her car a tiny rock can damage it too.
Does the auto dealer warranty cover these cost or are they gonna said no ?
This crack appear out of nowhere and no evident that it even got hit at that spot.

I Need To Replace My Windshield Because Of A Crack In It. The Car Is A 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan.?

I called a local Infiniti dealer (I didn’t purchase the car at this dealer) and was told that the service would cost $275 and the new part would cost $850 [total= $1125]. I then found a shop that replaces glass in cars and they told me my windshield replacement, with the part and service included will cost $140 total. I don’t know whether I should get my windshield replaced there for 2 reasons: 1) They might do a poor job and not glue it on properly, or well enough, so that it might start coming apart from the frame of the car in several months, and 2) rain may leak through (because they are doing it for a lot less that Infiniti, I expect the result to be a lot worse).
Am I right correct in my assumptions? Should I get my windshield replaced with the generic place or should I take my car to an official Infiniti dealer? Can I trust the generic shop to do a good job on my car? Any help would be appreciated greatly. Thank you.

I’m looking for a shop that replaces car front windshields for a 2006 Honda Accord 4-door. Could anyone suggest a shop? Or if you are a shop, can you send me a quote? I’m in the Glendale, CA 91206 area. I don’t think that this can be repaired as the windshield crack (line) gets longer every time the car is driven.
